The name "Wenland" is derived from the English words "when" and "land".
Wenland itself is a federally elective parliamentary democracy.
The three pillars of democracy; being legislative, executive and judicial are all accounted for by Wenland's system of governance. Every 6 months,
States General members are elected to their seats in a general election.
The leader of the party with the most members in turn becomes Prime Minister. They will lead the government, with a Deputy and an appointed Cabinet of Ministers.
The Prime Minister effectively answers to the General Land Custodian,
who is head of the state as a whole ceremonially. The GLC swears in Prime Ministers, looks over and after the physical mainland territory and has the power to-
-remove a Prime Minister (within legal reason, for instance via a States General vote of no confidence) for ministerial misconduct amongst other undemocratic and harmful reasons that may arise.
